It's Okay to Throw Balls in Our House!
Allen Bowl has an awesome Youth Program for ages 3 - 20. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and develop the love for bowling while earning scholarship money for college!
Youth Leagues
Just us Kids - Saturdays at 9:30am - ages 3-20. Our youngest division, Gutter Busters, is great for the little ones needing help from the bumpers. They don't stay in this division long and quickly move up to bowling without bumpers! We have coaches available on Saturday mornings for all skill levels.
Sunday Youth / Adult - Sundays at 6:30pm - Teams consist of 4 members which can be 2 youth & 2 adult or 3 youth & 1 adult. This is your chance to out bowl your parents!
Gold Youth Scratch - Thursdays at 6:30pm - Individual teams bowling on a sport shot for an added challenge. This is a qualifier for the North Pointe Junior Gold Tournament in Indianapolis. Bowl with the top bowlers in the US at this tournament held July 14th - 21st.
Age Divisions - Our youth program uses the age divisions that have been established by the USBC for organizing our leagues. These divisions are based on the bowler's age as of August 1, 2011. Bantam: 8 years and under, Prep: 9-11 years old, Junior: 12-14 years old, Major: 15-20 years old.
Scholarship Money Awarded in 2011
We are pleased to announce that we awarded $8,270 in scholarships to our youth bowlers in 2011! We are so proud of our youth program and their accomplishments and look forward to another great year of bowling in 2012.
SMART Scholarship Program - Membership in USBC's Scholarship Management and Accounting Reports for Tenpins program is automatic and free. All scholarship money earned in our leagues and tournaments will be sent to the SMART program so it is guaranteed to be available after graduation. The USBC has set up this program to maintain and administer scholarship funds from leagues and tournaments. These funds are kept and still available whether the youth bowler continues in bowling or not. The funds are held up to 6 years after graduation from high school.
